Abilities
As your primary skill, you have Fists Of Thunder and Deadly Reach.
Fists of Thunder: Unlocked At level 1
Monks can use the skill up to three times in quick succession, and each strike deals lightning damage. They can dash forward and strike the first enemy in their path. After the third strike, the Monk will launch the enemy into the air and deal additional damage with an uppercut, which increases damage and range. With Fist of Thunder, the Monk can quickly close the gap and engage enemies in Diablo Immortal. Using its uppercut, enemies can be knocked into the air and their attacks disrupted.
Deadly Reach: Unlocked at level 34
The skill increases the range and damage of the Monk’s melee attacks, as well as generating Elemental Fist stacks which increase the damage of the Monk’s other skills.
In melee combat, Deadly Reach is a powerful skill for Monk players who wish to deal damage. It can take out tough enemies very quickly and boost the damage dealt to other skills by generating Elemental Fist stacks. As the Piercing Trident rune has a short range and can leave the Monk vulnerable if they get too close, it is important to watch the Monk’s positioning.
Coming to Secondary Skills
We have…
Flying Kick: Unlocked at level 1
When activated, the Monk leaps towards the targeted enemy, dealing damage to any enemies in their path and creating a shock wave on the impact that damages and knocks back nearby enemies. This skill has a shorter range than other primary skills, but it can be used to quickly close gaps between the Monk and their target or to escape from danger.
Flying Kick is a valuable skill for Monks seeking mobility and dealing damage to multiple enemies.
Seven-sided Strike: Unlocked at level 1
When activated, the Monk rapidly strikes nearby enemies up to seven times, dealing significant damage with each strike. The strikes are quick and precise, making it difficult for enemies to counterattack or evade the Monk’s attacks. During the duration of the skill, the Monk is invulnerable to enemy attacks, making it an excellent defensive option in addition to its offensive capabilities.
Seven-Sided Strike is a powerful skill for Monks to take down heavily-armored or tough enemies and clear out groups of enemies.
Cyclone Strike: Unlocked at level 3
With this skill, a monk draws nearby enemies towards them, dealing damage and creating a vortex that draws in additional enemies. With this skill, the Monk can quickly deal damage to multiple enemies at once, allowing them to control crowds and group enemies. The ability to group enemies together allows other party members to damage them together, making Cyclone Strike an excellent skill for Monks who focus on crowd control and controlling battlefields.
Wave Strike: Unlocked at level 8
You unleash a wave of energy that carries enemies hit within it and explodes for maximum damage. The longer you charge the wave, the greater the range and damage. The wave will also knock enemies away when fully charged.
Mystic Strike: Unlocked at level 15
You will dash forward 4.5 yards and leave a spirit behind that will return, pulling all enemies in its path to you and dealing X damage.
Exploding Palm: Unlocked at level 20
When activated, the Monk marks an enemy with the Exploding Palm debuff, which causes the enemy to explode when they die, causing significant damage to nearby enemies. It is relatively easy to mark multiple enemies in quick succession with this skill, since it has a short cool down period.
In combination with other area-of-effect abilities, Exploding Palm is a valuable skill for Monks to quickly eliminate large groups of enemies. When the Impending Doom rune is used, it can create chain reactions that kill multiple enemies. Monks, however, should be careful when positioning themselves as the explosion can cause damage to them if they are too close to the enemy.
Shield of Zen: Unlocked at level 28
Shield absorbs damage for 5 seconds, preventing all effects that cause loss of control. Activating the shield will cause you to charge to the location of your ally, granting you both this shield.
Inner Sanctuary: Unlocked at level 38
When activated, the Monk creates a circular area on the ground that provides a sanctuary for the Monk and their allies. The sanctuary has several effects, including reducing the damage taken by allies within it, granting increased resistance, and preventing enemies from entering or leaving the area.
Inner Sanctuary is a supportive skill for Monks that protects allies from enemy attacks. It creates a haven for allies to retreat to or hold off enemies while the party regroups. The Sanctified Ground rune creates a lasting impact, providing allies with a safe zone even after the Monk has moved on.
The wave of Light: Unlocked at level 41
It is a powerful burst of light that the Monk uses when activated, damaging and knocking enemies back. With a longer range than many of the Monk’s other abilities, this skill is an excellent choice for taking out enemies from a safe distance. Wave of Light also increases the damage of the Monk’s other skills by generating Elemental Fist stacks.
While Wave of Light is a great skill for dealing with large groups of enemies or for taking out tough enemies from a distance, it does have a relatively long cool down, so use it strategically.
Imprisoned fist: Unlocked at level 44
It deals damage to enemies in the Monk’s path and stuns them for a short period of time when activated. It has a relatively short cool down period, so Monks can use it frequently during combat. In order to set up additional attacks or crowd control effects, Monks can use Imprisoned Fist to quickly close the distance to enemies and stun them. You can use it to interrupt enemy attacks or close in quickly on ranged enemies.
Flying dragon: Unlocked at level 47
As soon as activated, Soar into the sky, pulling along all nearby enemies and dealing damage to them.
Mystic Ally: Unlocked at level 50
When activated, the Monk summons an ally who fights alongside them in combat. Mystic Allies come in many forms, each with its own abilities and benefits. A Monk can use the Mystic Ally skill in a variety of ways, depending on which alley form they choose. By doing so, the Monk can augment his combat abilities, provide additional support to the party, or distract enemy attention from him so he can deal damage from a safe distance.
