The anime adaptation Chainsaw Man will be available on Crunchyroll this October thanks to MAPPA, a Japanese animation studio.
Anime Chainsaw Man focuses on the story of Denji, a teenage Devil Hunter who makes a pact with underworld gods after his death to reappear as Chainsaw Man after his death. Denji gains a new lust for life and the ability to seek revenge when he pulls a cord in his chest, transforms into a devil with chainsaws for hands (plus another for a head) and is guaranteed to never use them for gardening or logging. Asa Suehira, Chief Content Officer at Crunchyroll, said, “With dark humor, dynamic characters and a sharp story, Chainsaw Man is one of the most anticipated new series this year, and we are thrilled to bring it to fans.” Anime fans will be up all night wondering about the spectacular visuals and high-octane action.
Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump library features Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga if you’re curious in the meantime. The series has finished the first part, and is currently in the process of playing out Part 2, which introduces another new main character’s perspective on the story.
