Although you could replace a used engine with a brand new one from the beginning, and make a limited number of swaps, it wasn’t until the 1.34 update (late May 2023) that you could swap a variety of completely different engine configurations. Now you can put some completely different engines in any ordinary car – logically much stronger than you’d think! The Gran Turismo games are the first to offer this feature, which has been available in Forza Motorsport and Horizon games for years.
