The leveling up of a Wizard in Baldur’s Gate 3 was interfered with by a bug caused by too many spells taught by the player. A multitude of spell scrolls can be found in Baldur’s Gate 3, just like in D&D. These single-use items allow any class to use magic.
Those who play as Wizards, however, can spend gold to permanently add spells to their spellbook, provided the spell is one the class can learn. Baldur’s Gate 3’s spell knowledge feature, while incredibly useful, has a flaw: knowing every spell may make leveling up impossible.

Baldur’s Gate 3 bug makes it impossible for Wizard to level up if they can’t learn new spells
While attempting to level up the Half-Elf Wizard to level 10, Reddit user Yourigath encountered the bug. As Yourigath already knew all the spells available, he cannot select two more in order to level up. As a result, the game registers the section as “choices pending,” preventing him from leaving the screen.
