All New Abilities in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
In Tears of the Kingdom, Link continues his trend of using tools (or his magical abilities, granted by super tech) to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
There are five new abilities in Breath of the Wild, some of which are brand new, and others are riffs on previous abilities.
Recall
Link can now rewind time, allowing him to cross quickly closing doors, ride a rock that recently fell from the sky, or even throw a projectile back at an opponent.
Fuse
Fuse is an interesting take on crafting, with a focus on Links’ weapons and shields. One of the most fun combinations is fusing a cart to his shield, which will let you skateboard around Hyrule.
You can also fuse items to your arrows, such as Keese Eyes to increase accuracy, bombs to damage walls or enemies, or rocks to make a mallet powerful enough to clear rubble.

Ultrahand
Unlike Fuse, Ultrahand is about fusing together inanimate objects. In this quest, you’ll encounter nearly every other quest, including shrine puzzles. You can make gliders, you can make korok death machines. The world is your oyster, but you’ll need to use this ability a lot.
Ascend
Link also gains the ability Ascend. In addition to climbing mountains or getting to the next floor, Link can ascend through any ceiling, including buildings and caves. This makes climbing mountains and getting to the next floor much easier. In places like the Depths, this ability is especially useful
