Following complaints and allegations of sexual assault and harassment within Ubisoft, the French police arrested five former Ubisoft executives following a two-year investigation, according to GamesIndustry.biz. Among the five arrested are Ubisoft’s former chief creative officer, Serge Hascoët, and its former vice president for editorial and creative services, Tommy François.
The publication learned of the arrests after French newspaper Libération reported that three former Ubisoft executives had been arrested yesterday and two more had been arrested today.
There were numerous reports about abuse, misconduct, and power corruption within Ubisoft by the summer of 2020. As a result, François, François, and Hasco’t were fired, and Hasco’t resigned voluntarily.
