Genshin Impact Version 4.0 comes with a new graphic setting called Global Illumination. Find out what it does, where it can be found, and how to activate it.
Global Illumination: What is it?
With Global Illumination, you can make your game’s lighting more realistic and smooth, with greater contrast between light and shadow, as well as defined light streaks whenever light passes through smoke or mist. With the help of 3D textures and feathered shadows in the game, textures appear more three-dimensional.
Global Illumination: Where to Find It
In the Graphics settings, there is a setting called Global Illumination between the Shadow Quality and Visual Effects. Global Illumination can either be activated or deactivated from this menu. It is only available on PCs and mobile devices. PlayStation users are automatically set up to have Global Illumination on.
System requirements for PCs
If you wish to activate and take full advantage of Global Illumination on a PC, you will need to meet these system requirements to do so.
