There are three time-gated Exotic Fish in Destiny 2. The Aeonian Alpha-Betta fish is as gorgeous as it is elusive. It was inspired by the betta fish we see in fish tanks today. The Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish can only be obtained by following these steps.

How to Get the Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish in Destiny 2
Among Destiny 2’s best non-shooting activities is fishing. You can bring your catches back to the H.E.L.M., where they’ll be displayed all in their shiny, splashy glory. As the final fish unlocked in the Season of the Deep, the Aeonina Alpha-Betta brings us home.
As with the first Exotic fish ever unveiled, the Aeonian Alpha-Betta is available only in the EDZ. It’s possible that an event just happened if there is no blue beam, or if there aren’t a bunch of Guardian nameplates clustered together in the Outskirts.

While fishing in groups and increasing your fish meter doesn’t seem to help much, it does increase your chances of catching an Aeonian Alpha-Betta. As an added bonus, you’ll receive a Broken Blade of Cunning and an Exotic piece of armor once you release an Alpha-Betta at the H.E.L.M. aquarium.
