The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom requires players to complete two side quests in the town of Gerudo in order to obtain the Scimitar of the Seven. These are The Missing Owner and Pride of the Gerudo.
You will receive the Scimitar of the Seven if you complete the first quest first. Upon completing the two desert missions, you will receive the Scimitar of the Seven, which consists of the scimitar and the Daybreaker Shield.
Getting the Scimitar of the Seven in Tears of the Kingdom
By visiting the jewelry shop and speaking to Cara (location and coordinates provided on the map below), you can activate the side quest “The Missing Owner” and obtain the Scimitar of the Seven. After explaining all the jewelry and its purpose, she will describe the owner, who is very good at making full sets of armor, but she has been missing since she went on her own quest to Toruma Dunes.
You’ll need to do a great deal of walking around the desert in this mission, so it’s best to use a flying device, a sled, or even a sand seal to get from one location to another. In order to complete this task in half the time required, sand seals can be rented at the gates of Gerudo Town or caught outside its walls. Flying and sled devices can be constructed and sleds can be caught outside the walls.
Part 1: Complete The Missing Owner Side Quest
The location and coordinates of Turoma Dunes are displayed below. Once you reach the location, you will notice a smoke signal, Gerudo residents trembling in fear, and a mega Mulduga.
It is your quest to save the shop owner, named Isha, from the Mulduga by defeating it with time bombs or canons (Zonai devices). Time bombs are the easiest way to defeat the Mulduga since it will swallow them when placed in front of it.

Upon explosion, the best will drop to the ground and become stunned. Once stunned, run to the Mulduga and strike it with your strongest weapon. With a canon attached to your arrow, hitting the monster on its belly just as it is about to emerge from the sand requires perfect timing.
When you return to the town and meet with Isha after the decimation of the Mulduga, she will thank you and offer you “something special” that she can craft for you. Once you reach the jewelry shop, she will give you advice on what she needs to craft your special reward. The first side quest is now complete, and the next phase begins: Pride of the Gerudo.
Part 2: Complete Pride of the Gerudo Side Quest
You will need items from your inventory and weapons that can only be found in Gerudo to complete Pride of the Gerudo.
The Items & Weapons Are as Follows:
- 4 x Diamonds,
- 10 x Pieces of Flint,
- 1 x Gerudo Scimitar, and
- 1 x Gerudo Shield.
Where to Find 4 Diamonds
You can find diamonds in caves when mining specific ore deposits, defeating Taluses, or finding them in treasure chests located in shrines when defeating Taluses. Here are some shrine suggestions and their coordinates: the Yomizuk Shrine (4473, -0827, 0032), the Jochi-ihiga Shrine (3809, 1218, 0090), and the Mayaotaki Shrine (-0825, 3534, 0234). Diamonds are usually found in yellow/white ore deposits.
10 x Pieces of Flint
The best place to find flint at this point in your game is in ore deposits and caves if you don’t have 10 or more pieces. There are also a lot of flints around campfires and at the stables, which you must visit to complete other quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This item is plentiful in Hyrule.

Gerudo Scimitar & Gerudo Shield
During the first side quest, The Missing Owner, you’ll get either a Gerudo scimitar or shield if you’re lucky enough. It will have to be found somewhere in the desert if you don’t get either and it’s a Gerudo Spear or something else.
It is possible to locate both of these weapons in one location by searching the ruins in the Gerudo Desert. A Gerudo scimitar and shield can be found in the Ancient Altar Ruins. It is easiest to locate in the desert. Look for the section and coordinates indicated on the map above, where there are 12 wormholes in a circle.
