Cooking up some consumables is one of the best way to push Link ahead of the environment or his enemies as you explore in Tears of the Kingdom. And aside from the usual food recipes that provide buffs or additional health, you can make Elixirs that give some supporting bonuses as well.
When you start cooking food in Tears of the Kingdom, the process is obvious because it just involves throwing food on some heat. Elixir can be a bit more complicated because specific ingredients are required, and if they aren’t used right, you may just end up with some blurred-out food instead.
Tears of the Kingdom – How to Craft Elixirs
Step one to this process is using a source of heat just like you would with standard food recipes. However, tossing ingredients on an open flame won’t be enough. Cooking Pots are required if you plan on making Elixirs, otherwise, your hard-earned ingredients are going to waste in the flames.
With the Cooking Pot ready to go, it’s time to start making Elixirs in Tears of the Kingdom. You will need one monster part and at least one critter. An Elixir recipe, for example, would look like one Hightail Lizard and one Horriblin Horn. Like the standard food dishes, there are all kinds of combinations for you to try.
Tears of the Kingdoms Elixir Process:
Have a Cooking Pot and fire ready to go.
Pick 1 monster part
Pick 1 critter
Throw them in the pot and wait for the Elixir to cook.

You can always try using multiple ingredients to change the effects or increase the duration. Also, keep in mind that you can’t have two different stat bases. So, if you want increased stamina, then focus on that alone and you will be good to go.
