Often, video games make you feel like a god, especially action games where your character is unstoppable or simulation games where you control everything. Playing puzzle games rarely makes me feel like a god, but Humanity does. In Humanity, miniature characters are guided to their destinations using directional signs and commands. In addition to pushing me to my limits, it also tells a heartwarming story at the same time as building on this core system.
Its minimalistic visual style focuses on the puzzles in 3D in Humanity, but the soft and beautiful backgrounds highlight my actions as I guide colorful hordes of people across obstacles. When the humans cross the line, they follow that direction. In Humanity, the Others sometimes try to stop me, so I learn to fight back with weapons and guns similar to lightsabers.
