Valve released Counter-Strike 2, the highly anticipated free upgrade for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive owners. However, Mac users were left out in the cold, with the upgrade breaking the game and no macOS version on the horizon.

Everyone with CS:GO was forced to install a 26GB update on Wednesday, including Mac users. However, after installation, Mac users found out Steam subsequently tried to launch an executable file for Windows, which rendered the game unplayable. In order to access CS:GO, some users have had to use a workaround, but it isn’t ideal.
