In Scarlet and Violet, the Indigo Disk DLC included four new Paradox Pokémon, and players have already discovered a bug that makes them interact differently with items.
As pointed out by VGC player Leonard Craft III in a tweet, Booster Energy can be transferred to and from Raging Bolt, Gouging Fire, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown by using moves like Trick or Knock Off. In spite of the item’s importance, it cannot be moved to or from any other Paradox Pokémon. Booster Energy is a very important item for Paradox Pokémon, because it was specifically designed for them.

Paradox Pokémon’s signature Abilities, Protosynthesis and Quark Drive, are automatically activated when they are sent into battle with Booster Energy. It is usually the sun that activates protosynthesis, and electric terrain that activates Quark Drive, but by using this item, the user does not need to set up those conditions to activate them.
