Hero’s Note: This is a satirical account of how to defeat the various bosses of Diablo Immortal. My tips for defeating each boss will be helpful. The author and Hero of the tale is a “braggart” but he is YOUR braggart! The whimsical writing style is meant to be engaging! Enjoy the read!
Here is King Leoric, the Skeleton King, and his minions that I personally dispatched (with some minor help) (The source for the three images below: Fandom.com)
King Leoric (The Skeleton King), Sir Gorash & Manoruk.
I record here, my account (mostly true), of how I confronted and ultimately defeated King Leoric – The Skeleton King, and his band of undead in Ashwold Manor during the Masters of Death storyline quest. I recommend that you watch this video after reading this post.

Prior to King Leoric, I was quite busy buffing my reputation!
Here’s a list of the Undead I Undone!
–
I defeated the Skeletal Mage in Queen Asylla’s Tomb and for very little reward I might add! You would think riding the world of a big hunk-a-bones like that would be worth something! I’ve resulted to pillaging. A hero does have to eat you know!
After defeating the Skeletal Mage, I headed over to Ashwold Manor.
Ashwold Manor lies just north of Ashwold Cemetery. “Lore: Prior to the Darkening of Tristram, King Leoric used the manor as a residence and seat of power.”(Source: Fandom.com)
I even had to kill the Royal Guards and a few more undead! Good thing I gained some much-needed experience along the way (now exceeding level 14, soon to be 18)! Follow me…
So, after that, my buddy Xul shows up and leads me into Ashwold Manor.
Xul seems to be showing up everywhere I go – I’m beginning not to trust this guy!
I interrupted Lethes’s Death Ritual!
At least for that, I got +12k experience and some Magic Waist Armor! Now, this is more like it!
To start with, I had to defeat Leoric’s Necromancer Simulacrum and break up yet another ritual!
These guys sure like rituals – just as much as I like busting them up!
So now Xul wants another chat. At least now I have access to the Battle Pass!
The Battle Pass came in handy! I recruited a team of like-minded heros and we cleared Mad King’s Breach of all undead! Some I think I recognized! 😉
The cut scene is at the entrance to Mad King’s Breach. Note: I suggest you use the Battle Pass and bring along 4 companions to help you. You’re going to need it! Refer to the tips below for defeating King Leoric (The Skeleton King), Manoruk, and Sir Gorash. Onward!
I was cast aside. But I found the Shard. I found purpose. The queen’s spirit … would lead me to Leoric … and the power to rule over the dead. I will be vindicated. Leoric’s soul is the key. -Lethes
Once you enter Mad King’s Breach be ready for battle! Do plunder any dropped coins and chests. I considered it my fee for spending so much time completing the Masters of Death quest! However, I left some for you. 😉
After defeating Manoruk the door to the throne room will be opened. Enter and start killing the two gargoyle statues that come to life. They should not be a problem for you. Continue up the stairs and kill the devil hounds. Continue up the winding staircase and kill more hounds and skeletal warriors.
Make your way up further and open the chest before your partners do and then turn right and keep going. Be ready for more undead and then more again!
Once you reach the top of the stairs be prepared to deal with the King’s Royal Guard. Then make it to the throne where King Leoric (The Skeleton King) awaits you. You can refer to the tips below for taking him down!
Secrets for Defeating Sir Gorash
Now at last I can start looking for King Leoric! Nope, now another big dude wants a piece of me. We shall accommodate! Come to find out, this ugly fright, I mean Knight is none other than Sir Gorash! A noble-born that King Leoric knighted (and then had him killed I might add).
Feel free to use the following tips to help you defeat Sir Gorash. Just remember to mention me in your record of deeds! Good luck!
Sir Gorash Secret, The 3-Sided Wall Trap
When Sir Gorash raises his halberd axe, he can summon a 3-sided block wall to appear around you. Once he has you trapped inside there is no escape but forward. Make a quick exit out of the trap as soon as it appears.
Sir Gorash Secret, Do Not Be Afraid
Sir Gorash has the power to cast Fear upon you at random moments within the battle. The effect doesn’t last long but it can cause you to lose control of your character momentarily. Make sure it’s not at the most inopportune time!
Sir Gorash Secret, Smash Three Times!
After Sir Gorash has you trapped within his 3-sided block wall (or not) he will raise his halberd axe and slam it to the floor 3 times, causing the block walls to crumble and inflict damage on anyone trapped in or around them. Each slam causes successive amounts of damage so stay clear.
After defeating Sir Gorash make your way to the Grand Hall. Be prepared to fight. The Grand Hall is full of undead. Be sure to pick up any health orbs and pillage any dropped coin.
I made it to the end of the Grand Hall and encountered yet another boss! This one is named Manoruk. He was once the Mad King’s court mage until he killed him that is. Refer to the tips below for defeating Manoruk.
Secrets for Defeating Manoruk the GateKeeper
Manoruk is not a too difficult boss to beat. It will take a bit of time due to his longer-than-usual HP bar. He also has both melee and ranged attacks. You can refer to the following tips for guidance. If I can do it, you certainly can.
Good luck!
Manoruk Secret, Summoned Enemies
Manoruk can also summon an army of undead to fight for him. While they are not too difficult, they get in the way, so take them out quickly so you can concentrate on the main prize.
Manoruk Secret, Skull Attack
Manoruk will produce several lines of skulls that move toward you. You can slip in between the lines of skulls for a better position to attack from.
Manoruk Secret, Burst Wave Attack
Manoruk will attack with a burst wave. A circular wave will appear on the floor in front of him that radiates outward. This is the indicator that the attack is imminent. You will want to move outside the circle before it bursts. Anyone caught inside the wave be dealt significant damage.
Secrets for Defeating King Leoric (The Skeleton King)
Finally! The Skeleton King is big and bad but certainly able to be defeated. He likes melee attaches along with a few other tricks he has up his sleeve. I took notes for you while fighting him (that’s how bad-ass your hero is!) 😉
Skeleton King Secret, The Melee Attack and More Minions
Try to attack Leoric with ranged attacks and stay clear of his swinging melee attack. He will also summon up enemies to fight for him so take care of those as soon as possible to give you room to maneuver.
In regard to his minions that he will summon, try using AoE (Area of Effect) attacks to help eliminate them more quickly.
Skeleton King Secret, The Shrinking Zone Attack
After Leoric summons his war horse, he will begin to use a shrinking zoned attack indicated by the boundaries that appear on the floor. These boundaries will become closer together. When you see the zone boundaries appear on the floor, try to maneuver closer up and to the right of his throne to avoid the winds and HP drain that can occur in the lower portions of the zone.
Skeleton King Secret, The Zone Charge Attack
While on horseback, Leoric will perform a zone charge attack that will knock you back and can stun you at the same time. The attack is telegraphed when you see the rectangular zone appear in from of him. When you see it, maneuver out and away as soon as possible as shown below.
For the record, these accounts are my own and do not ensure your victory over King Leoric (The Skeleton King) and his lesser bosses. However, if you attain a high enough level before taking him on, and follow my lead, you should prevail and live to record the tale. However, in your record of deeds, make note that I was the one who led the way!!
