Oden’s Noose Whip Attack Variants
Odin’s noose whip attack can also produce secondary sickle-shaped projectiles as shown in the frame below. You see that Kratos is sent flying backward (see his feet at the bottom left of the frame). You also see the sickle-shaped projectile approaching after the whip has struck.
This makes for a deadly AoE and ranged combo. Be sure to dodge twice. Once for the whip and again for the projectile. This will occur near the the latter end of the battle as Oden get’s even more aggressive.
Odin’s noose whip attack can also produce vertical auroras along the length of the whip. You must roll BEFORE this attack. You cannot roll under it like you can the normal whip attack.
More About Oden in God of War Ragnarok
Odin is the final boss encounter in the main story and proves to be a bigger challenge than his diminutive stature would suggest. He is a powerful god, the leader of a strong and prideful people, and perhaps more than anything else, a narcissistic madman. There may be harder bosses, but few can measure up to the awesome spectacle that is the final battle with Odin.
