Despite being the biggest game to come out of Xbox Game Studios this year, Starfield is Bethesda Game Studios’ biggest announcement since the release of Fallout 76 back in 2018. In fact, it’s the studio’s first new franchise in decades, finally taking its open-world formula to the final frontier. After the recent Starfield Direct at the Xbox Games Showcase, you might be wondering if your favorite gaming subscription service will house the game. Here’s how to find out. Will Starfield Be Available on Xbox Game Pass?
The Xbox Game Pass subscription service will make Starfield available to both PCs and Xbox Series X’s if you want to play it! Like all Bethesda titles (except for Doom 2016), Starfield will be available on Xbox Game Pass for both PCs and Xbox Series X’s. There will be no support for the last generation Xbox One, though that’s purely a hardware issue. However, if you’re on a newer version of the technology, you can jump right in when it releases on September 6, 2023.
How Much Does the Game Itself Cost?
In case you decide to buy the game so you don’t have to stay subscribed, or just want access to a better edition, you can do so at any time. The base version costs $70, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $100. In addition to the game being released five days earlier, you will also receive Shattered Space Story Expansion, Constellation Skin Pack, a digital Artbook, and a soundtrack with the Digital Deluxe Edition. That’s a lot of money to spend on a game, but if you love Bethesda RPGs, it might be worth it.
