Back on May 12, when the game first launched, I knew I would have a blast if I hopped on my Switch and saw most of my friends playing Tears of the Kingdom. For the first hour, I was curious what I would get myself into. Let me tell you, those first few hours were great.
TOTK’s Weather Confused Me at First
After spending most of the day navigating snow, I had several ideas, but wasn’t sure how to implement them. Should I build a bridge? Should I make potions? Although I had several options for dealing with this relatively minor problem, I was frustrated two hours after starting my playthrough. In order to share my wacky experience with everyone, I wrote an entire page on how to climb ice walls in TOTK.
I didn’t notice the ramp until much later.
Tears of the Kingdom’s tutorials are decent, and I wouldn’t recommend skipping them. I’m also the type to skip tutorials and wonder why I’m struggling.
After trudging through the snow for several hours, freezing to death dozens of times, and figuring out how it all worked, I reached the fun part.
