The Gathering Legions have been a much less talked about World Event in Diablo 4, but they’re also one of Diablo 4’s main selling points. The group activities can appear in Sanctuary, and they can be confusing at first, but I will explain what they are and how they work here.
Gathering Legions Event Explained in Diablo 4
In Diablo 4, the Gathering Legions World Event takes place almost everywhere, including Scosglen and Dry Steppes. You have five minutes to reach the location before chaos begins. The Sanctuary map will show a white circle icon with the Legions title once one of the events is about to start.
In Diablo 4, the Gathering Legions event begins once the timer runs out. Unlike the standard World Events, this event is not designed for solo players and is much more dangerous. Once you’ve slain enough goat men serving as The Gathering Legions, a ritual will begin with an Elite to summon the Overlord.
During the legion event in Scosglen, I killed a Servant of Hell enemy. I only managed to kill one servant, but I moved on to the next stage after killing enough enemies. As soon as I had killed enough enemies, the Overlord appeared.
