How to Gain Experience in Baldur’s Gate 3
Complete Quests
Completing quests can help you gain more experience points to level up. You can get quests by talking to NPCs and progressing the main story of the game.
To see all the active quests you have, press Ctrl+J to open the journal screen. You can check all the active quests you have in this screen and all the ones you have already completed.
Defeat Enemies in Battles
During battles, make sure to defeat all enemies to gain experience. Ending battles by fleeing will not give you experience points to level up.
Discover New Areas
You can also get experience from exploring the map and discovering hidden areas. This is also a good way to find enemies and get new quests which can also help you gain experience as mentioned above.
