World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s cutscene after the final boss raid of Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible was not well received by fans. The video seemed cut off in the middle and lacked emotional or narrative impact.
The 10.1 Embers of Neltharion update is on the servers, and with it comes an all-new raid called Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. When you defeat Sarkareth, you trigger a cutscene showing the consequences of defeating him. The instance consists of nine bosses.
In Legion and Battle for Azeroth, such procedures have led to epic events, such as defeating Kil’Jaeden or ending Azshara’s Eternal Palace. As a result, many players (via WoWHead) were disappointed with the finale of the battle against Scalecommander Sarkareth this time.
When Scalecommander Sarkareth’s life points drop to 0, a cutscene is activated showing the end of the clash and its consequences – that’s how it usually was. This footage of the boss at Neltharion/Deathwing lasts almost 40 seconds. Sarkareth’s monologue starts with the word “father” at the beginning. When he finishes speaking, he falls, which ends the clip.
